Part of the Severed Heads Discography

Introduction

The electronic music group Severed Heads is now almost synonymous with Tom Ellard, the mainstay of the band throughout a number of line-up changes over the years. This discography therefore concentrates on Ellard's work, including side-projects and his assistance with other people's projects, but also covers work by former members (if you'll pardon the pun).

Severed Heads arose out of "Mr and Mrs No Smoking Sign" a group formed by Richard Fielding and Andrew Wright in 1979, but which was joined by Tom Ellard at the end of that year. A number of cassettes were recorded under that name, including Mr and Mrs No Smoking Sign Go Cruising fer Burgers! When the opportunity for radio airplay arose, the name "Severed Heads" was adopted. The rest is discography...

On 4th February 2008 Tom announced the end of the "Severed Heads" and "Sevcom" ventures, but future solo releases will be covered here, and work continues on ensuring that the discography is as complete as possible.

For a detailed and reliable history of Severed Heads, see Bernie Maier's article on the LTM Records site.
